Pick Your Own Grapes!

In the past all of our grapes were contracted to the winery. Unfortunately this meant we could not sell grapes to home wine and jam makers.

In 2012 our vineyard will be 100% pick your own!

This means everyone who wants to make their own wine or jam from local grapes will have the opportunity to pick their own grapes! We will have a crusher/destemmer and press on site you can use for free - So you won't have to stomp your grapes in an old bathtub while wearing an orange haired wig!

Our total crop adds up to several tons so there should be plenty for all.

Prairie Star - Great for a light white wine. 2011 brix: 20
Sabrevois - Makes a cabernet style red wine. 2011 brix: 22
Frontenac Gris - Perfect for a White Zinfandel type wine. 2011 brix: 27
Frontenac - This makes the best port you will ever taste! 2011 brix: 27

We will teach you how to pick and help you from beginning to end. Our winemaker will also be on hand to give you pointers on how to make the best wine or port from your grapes. The brix will be checked before picking, but we can also check for a more even total after pressing or crushing.

Excpect picking to start on the weekend of:
September 15 and 16, 2012
If the picking is not complete we will finish up the following weekend.

Please email us to show your interest. Then, if things change we will notify you. We will also send you a reminder closer to the picking date. Your email address will only be used for this purpose.
